Hi, Erik- You're a good man! It's very nice to hear from people who've enjoyed reading one of my posts - I heard about Book Rescues from othe BCs and I loved the idea of people giving books the chance of another life out there in the world.
I've just been re-organising my own lovely writing room, which is where I store about a tenth of mine and the family's books, and as many of these were double-banked on the bookcases I came across lots that I hadn't handled for years - it's amazing how much remembered emotion comes floooding back. There were only a very few that I could put in the Charity-shop pile - none of those that I had built a 'relationship' with, however many years ago.

Regarding my own book, I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of men who've admitted to enjoying it. Transita, the publishers, were mainly aiming at women readers, but I wasn't. I'd be delighted if you read and enjoyed it, but I wouldn't want you to risk an allergic rash, so maybe you'd better steer clear of it - as an author, I feel responsible enough as it is if I know that someone is picking it up in good faith, in case they're disappointed.

Ms Coleman you good woman! So nice to see such a lovely article on our subversive activities. I once read some very disparaging comments about BC from a writer of very poor quality work and just couldn't understand her point of view.

I get books from a Charity shop that they think are unsaleable and would otherwise throw in the bin. Not that they're necessarily rubbish books, but perhaps they have a tear on the spine or whatever. I Release them and give them a second chance. What means nothing to one person may well be of great importance to another.

I've never had one of yours pass through my hands but if I do I'll leave it somewhere nice, I promise. I may even read it! There seems to be some confusion on the site as to whether it's Women's Fiction or Literature. Personally I'm allergic to women's fiction but you seem to have made a lot of people laugh so I think I can handle it :)

Best wishes
